Flashback Friday: Pumpkin Spice

This weekend we flip the calendars to October and we are completely and undeniably in “Pumpkin Spice Season”!

Last fall I blogged with the full story on how I became “The Pumpkin Spice Neuroscientist”. Basically, it all started on October 1, 2015 when I published a blog in Huffington Post called: The Joy of Pumpkin Spice: The Science Behind Loving Fall.

Every fall now, I end up giving a few interviews and chatting about why we love fall, and why we love pumpkin spice. It’s such an amazing example of how the lessons we know about our brain can inform our decision making. Here’s a blog I posted in Fall 2022 listing several videos and articles for you to dig into pumpkin spice science!

There’s always more to say about pumpkin spice… I could write an entire book on it! I’m sure I’ll post again later this fall with links to some of the more recent interviews I’ve given. But for now, I’ll leave you with these flashbacks to officially welcome pumpkin spice season!!

I’ll be giving a few more special event talks this fall on pumpkin spice. Reach out if you’d like me to speak at your special event… in any season!
