Brain-Based Solutions for Real-World Challenges

At Franssen Strategies, we believe that success in today’s world depends on more than just skill—it requires understanding how the brain works.

In high-pressure environments, even the most talented teams can struggle with focus, collaboration, decision fatigue, and burnout. That’s where we come in.

Rooted in neuroscience, our workshops and coaching programs are designed to help individuals and organizations perform at their best—by working with the brain, not against it. From leadership development and conflict resolution to stress management and team engagement, we deliver science-backed strategies that create meaningful, lasting change.

Led by Dr. Catherine Franssen, a neuroscientist, educator, and nationally recognized expert in behavior and performance, Franssen Strategies blends cutting-edge research with practical tools your team can apply immediately.

Because when people understand how their brains operate, they make better decisions, manage stress more effectively, and build stronger, more resilient teams.

Get to know me in an upcoming LIVE event!

Hi!

I’m Dr. Catherine Franssen—a neuroscientist, writer, speaker, educator, and mom. I’ve spent the past 20 years exploring how our brains shape our lives—and helping people use that knowledge to live better, healthier, and more joyful lives.

I hold a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Psychology from Randolph-Macon College. I’ve published over 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers, contributed to book chapters, and been quoted in national outlets like CNN, The Washington Post, and Reader’s Digest. My research has appeared in journals including Nature, Brain Research, and Physiology & Behavior.

But what I love most is translating all that science into something meaningful and actionable—whether I’m teaching students, writing for the public, or speaking on stage.

Over the years, I’ve taught biology, psychology, and business at five universities, developed new degree programs, and written articles for outlets like Scientific American, CNN Business, HuffPost, Parents, and The Walrus. I’ve led workshops, keynotes, and webinars for audiences ranging from curious high schoolers to seasoned professionals—and I always bring curiosity, clarity, and a little humor to the room.

At home, my husband (a developmental biologist) and I live the science of parenting with our two daughters. They’re my greatest teachers—and the inspiration behind many of the stories I share about brains, behavior, and the beautiful chaos of everyday life.

Whether you’re here to learn something new, book a workshop, or just follow along with my work—welcome.

I’m glad you’re here.
